Ibiza diaries: A trip to Ibiza town

This is a veeery picture heavy post. So I won't do much talking, on day three of Ibiza we went into Ibiza town, it was only £3.50 on a bus but we couldn't understand how to get one and ended up splitting a taxi with two other girls which cost us 27 euro total. Ibiza town is the most beautiful place I have ever visited, and we went at the perfect time too which meant we watched the sun set over it all. It's a city built up on a hill, with 'old town' being in an old kind of fortress at the top of it all. The streets are beautiful, cobbled, narrow, lined with stunning tall buildings. Then as you follow the town up you come to this huge arch at the end of a bridge which leads you into a gorgeous old fashioned town which winds up and up. The stairs are so slopey and steep and it's all traditional old style cobbled streets and words will never be able to describe the absolute perfect picture that Ibiza old town is. So I'll let the pictures do the talking.

This is the little bridge leading up to the fortress

Once you get through the first gate you are met by this beautiful entryway and arch into the shops, restaurants and bars.

We stood for ages gawping at this view. The city beneath us was so alive and amazing. The colour of the sky hasn't picked up on camera perfectly but it was the beginning of sunset.
Realising we still had higher to go, we continued our journey to the top...
The streets were starting to have an orange glow to them from the low sun

We climbed to the top and stood in silence watching the sun set. It was the most perfect thing I have ever seen. And as it turned dark and the sky went black the streets lit up and I remember sitting on a wall feeling like I was on the edge of the world and saying "how can I have depression and hate the world so bad when things like this exist"

Eventually we made our way back down for something to eat, where the streets were definitely glowing orange with the warm street lights.

We found a little outdoors restaurant and chowed down on the best carbonara we've ever had and another litre of sangria.

We found a place called punto gelato for dessert, and the cutest, friendliest woman served us, she really made my night. We got the biggest ice creams possible that seemed like they would never end, my scoop flavours were kinder, oreo, and cookies which were insanely good and from here we got a taxi back to Es Cana, took our food babies out for some drinks, then headed to bed after an amazing day out.
