Being A Girl Doesn't Entirely Suck...

To put this bluntly, it's my time of the month. Well it should be, I seem to be having the cramps but nothing else. My body is so out of sync and everything is a mess, hormones are ridiculous, mood swings are out of control, and I'm sat in bed feeling sorry for myself because I was not blessed with opposite gentiles and an easier life.
So I took to reading some blogs, and by chance I came across a women empowering post and I realised that actually, it's a lot cooler to be a girl than we once thought. Sure we go through some absolute SH*T in our lifetime, but being a woman I think we were actually given the better end of the stick. Here's why.

• Let me start with the fact that in summer we can wear light flowy dresses allowing a soft breeze to reach us everywhere. Sure, you men can walk around shirtless, but nothing feels as satisfying as a flowy dress. And a bit of shirtless eye candy never hurt anyone.

• We will always be looked after and protected by other men and women.

• We will always have the final say. If we say "no" it means no. Any morally right man respects this.

• We have nicer handwriting than guys.

• If we're "ugly" makeup is our best friend. Even though we are all beautiful.

• We can totally transform who we are with some clothes, a bit of makeup, and a new hairstyle. You'll never get bored of the same old thing.

• It's okay to have crushes on celebrities of both genders. (when you are not gay)

• As much as girls can be bitter, we are all on the same level and we'll all stick together in times of need.

• We don't grow hair in awkward places (back, nose, ears..butt cheeks)

• "Ladies first"

• All girls have the ability to understand each other with certain looks and phrases. Girl talk is real.

• We have all the qualities of a guy and can train ourselves up to the standards of a man, but men can't train themselves to have qualities of a woman.

• We live longer.

• We always look good in guys clothes.

• We can control our emotions more than you think.

• Free drinks from men at bars...

• BOOBS.

• The ability to create and raise a life. The bond to stick with and protect that life until your dying day.

• It's okay to cry.

• Nothing. Nothing. Beats freshly shaved legs and fresh bed sheets. Nothing.

• We are independent. We don't need no man. No guidance. We can lose everything and we'll pick ourselves up and start all over again.

• Matching fricking underwear baby!

We are amazing, we are strong, powerful, and we have a lot of things guys don't. So when you have a bad day and your "friends" are b*tchy and you can't just 'scrap it out' like any guy would. Remember that actually, girls are a team and we are the better team. Guys couldn't cope with the responsibilities and disasters girls have to deal with daily. And that's why we're the ones who do go through it. Because we can.
